It's spring, and finally time to add some colour and print into out wardrobes. Petal power has been gracing the catwalks this Spring/Summer, floral patterns are everywhere.

It is all too easy to pull out the same ditsy print dress every time, or see the same genre of typical flower prints across the highstreet. Follow the shake-up of the pattern from the catwalks, and re-interpret the trend for this season. This could be adopting the ditsy print for 3D addition, along with with a side of sheer or fringing, above are four ways to make florals seem fresh once again. The 50's style skirt is one of my favourite silhouettes brought back for this season.

There are countless floral patterns on the market to choose from, so much so that you can cater the pattern according to your personal taste and style. Understanding your body shape will also help you take a pick of the best floral prints. Pastal hues and small floral prints will suit the ulta-feminine look, whilst large florals in jewel shade will create the bold, stand-out look.

Don't over-do it on the bold front, if you want to wear floral without looking like a bunch of flowers try teaming a floral top tucked into simple tailored trousers, or wearing the print on a skirt or palazzo pants.
